Twitter’s new boss, Elon Musk, has made headlines again. But this time there is another reason. In response to a tweet, the billionaire revealed that he has lost nearly 30 pounds (13 kg).
He responded to a user’s tweet saying, “You’ve lost a lot of weight, Elon! Keep it up.” She also posted two photos of the billionaire in the tweet showing off his weight loss transformation. In response, he wrote, “30 lbs off!”
Many users were surprised to see the transformation. One of them asked the company’s “Chief Twit” how he achieved this feat. Musk said he uses a combination of fasting, limiting consumption of “good food” and taking the diabetes medication Ozempic/Wegovy to stay in shape and healthy. “Fasting + Ozempic/Wegovy + no good food near me,” he said on Twitter.
Soon after, people started congratulating Mr. Musk for that. One user said, “Congratulations E! That’s great.”
Another user added, “It can be a tough road, but keep going and you’ll get there!”

A few months ago, Mr. Musk had shared that he was making some lifestyle changes. He said in a tweet on Aug. 28 that on the advice of a friend, he was fasting occasionally and that he felt healthier. “On the advice of a good friend, I am fasting regularly and feeling healthier. The Zero fasting app is pretty good,” he wrote on Twitter. He had also said he was “more than 20 lbs (nine kg) lower” than his peak weight. In response to a tweet, Mr Musk said he is lifting “a little” too.
Mr Musk’s father, Errol Musk, had said on Kyle and Jackie O’s show on Australian radio station KIIS FM the same month that his son was “eating poorly”. Errol Musk also suggested that his son should take diet pills to manage his weight.
