Over the course of its 700 episodes, the American sitcom “The Simpsons” has been credited with many real-life predictions – be it Donald Trump becoming the President of the United States, the symbolic purple outfit of the US Vice President Kamala Harris or accused FIFA officials of wire fraud, extortion and money laundering. Is “The Simpsons” really able to look into the future and laugh about it, or is this all a random occurrence?
Now, interestingly enough, Twitter’s new CEO Elon Musk has revealed that the show alluded to his takeover of the microblogging platform. The 51-year-old billionaire tweeted on Nov. 26: “Simpson’s predicts I’ll buy Twitter S26E12.” Musk posted a photo from the 12th episode of Season 26, “The Musk Who Fell to Earth,” which appeared to reference his purchase of Twitter.

According to the New York Post, the episode begins with Lisa Simpson tending to a birdhouse with the words “Home Tweet Home” written on it. When she is feeding baby birds, a bald eagle swoops down and kills them. Mr. Musk then arrives in his rocket as the eagle flies off into the distance. The eagle, an old emblem of the United States, is burned by aircraft fire.
“Brace yourselves, family. We’re about to meet a creature with an intelligence far beyond our own,” says Homer Simpson before ordering Bart to grab his baseball bat.
Musk takes off his space helmet and identifies himself: “Hi, I’m Elon Musk.” Homer hurls the bat at his head. Lisa shouts, “Dad, no! Elon Musk may be the greatest inventor alive.”
The Post continues: “The camera pans to a new technologically advanced birdhouse that has attracted several birds. “I think humanity wants its change, birdhouse by birdhouse,” says Lisa as Musk reboards his ship.”

Since the billionaire’s tweet was shared, he has received 2.6 lakh likes and 18,800 retweets.
One user commented, “Personally, I think Elon bought Twitter because he saw it on an episode of The Simpsons. Changed my mind.”
“Do the Simpsons really predict things like this, or do people just get all their ideas from the Simpsons?” said another user.
A third user said, “No one saw this coming.”
“Simpsons predicted a lot of things… some of them are pretty accurate, like this one,” added a fourth.
