A tenant’s glowing review of his landlord on Reddit has gone viral, standing out amidst a plethora of complaints and horror stories. The Reddit user shared his heartwarming experience with his 65-year-old landlord in Bengaluru, and recounted how the elderly man surprised him by buying him dinner, for which he was grateful. The tenant, who has been living in the building for five years, also shared that his landlord had not asked for a rent hike in five years.
''He is 65+ years old and I have lived in his building for 5 years. Today he just showed up at my door with a package and said he bought me dinner. I couldn't stop smiling. No one his age has ever been so nice to me. Personally he is an old man, very fit, active and has a good social life. And the best part is that he has not asked for a rent increase in 5 years.
I basically pay the same rent as I did in 2018. Sometimes I hear his life stories and about his very successful daughters. He often offers me his Brandi but I don't drink it. God bless this man,'' the Reddit user wrote.

The viral post has resonated with many users, who have shared their own positive experiences. It has also sparked meaningful conversations about the impact good landlords have on the lives of tenants.
One user wrote: ''This is so sweet! My landlord offered to help me and my friends unpack and offered to send us lunch when we came back in 2016. Luckily, the cook from the previous house had made a huge box of biryani for us.''
Another commented: “Very rare to find a good landlord in Bangalore.” A third wrote: “My old landlord in Bangalore was so nice that she paid for a brand new MacBook charger cable and adapter when mine broke due to some electrical issues in the apartment. When I didn’t even ask her for it, I miss her so much.”
A fourth added: “I also really like my landlord. He's quite young and calls me bro. Fixes everything himself if there's a problem. Greets me every time I meet him and hasn't raised the rent even though it's in the agreement.”
