A seven-year-old white horse died of illness, days after it had completed a heroic rescue mission to save a Drown-Man in China, according to a report in the South -China Morning Post. The horse, nicknamed Bailong, which means “white dragon”, has saved the man, even though he has never got into water, according to the owner, Yilibai, but paid the ultimate price for it.
“Bailong and I have experienced many things together. Please don't talk about it for me. Every mention of it will make me cry,” said Yilibai.
Six days after the rescue, Bailong suddenly stopped eating and pooping. It quickly caught a fever that lasted a few hours. Despite local authorities sent veterinarians to treat the animal, Bailong could not survive and died for a higher residence on Tuesday (11 February).
“When it received my order, it implemented it firmly and it was very cooperative, Bailong played a leading role in the rescue effort,” said Yilibai.
The man who was saved by Bailong and Yilibai said he felt guilty about the death of the horse.

The daring salvation
On February 4, both Yilibai and Bailong started training when a man fell into the river from a bridge in Xiantao, a city in the province of Hubei in Central China. While the daughter of the non -geidified man was anxiously on the riverbank and called for help, Yilibai, bailong, ran into the water body, showed one of the viral video clips.
Allegedly, Bailong swam more than 40 meters with Yilibai that held the reins in one hand and pulls the man with another. Yilibai said Bailong had never been to the water before, so there was also a risk for the horse.
“I didn't think about it twice. To save a life, I had to act,” said Yilibai at the time.
“Bailong is smart. When I gave it a whip, he knew he had to go into the water. After he saw me the drowning, he turned around and swam back. My horse and I are as a family. I trust him and he trusts me, “he added.
The city council of Xiantao announced that they process requests for Bravery Awards for Yilibai and others involved in the rescue operation, with an expected reward of RS 35600 (3,000 Yuan). In the meantime, a statue of the horse will be founded near the river by the local government.
