In big cities like Bengaluru and Mumbai, house hunting is a difficult task for renters. From landlords requiring corporate HR interviews and background checks to real estate agents making false promises, the process is fraught with challenges. Finding a suitable rental property in these vibrant cities has always been a difficult task for tenants. However, a Mumbai resident recently entertained many on social media by sharing a screenshot of a comical message exchange she had with her real estate agent, who assisted her in the house hunting process. This light-hearted conversation has since gone viral, sparking laughter among netizens.
The screenshot shows Subi, an active social media user, expressing concerns about the property’s proximity to a railway line. She is rightly concerned about the possible noise pollution that may arise as a result of this proximity. In response, her real estate agent’s somewhat broken English response added an element of humor that tickled the humor of many users on the platform.
Subi asked: “The location is near railway lines; I hope there is no problem with train noise.” The realtor’s response, while reassuring, is notable for its striking simplicity: “Yes mom, don’t take tension (take tension), okay,” followed by “I’m here.”
