You must have come across several wildlife rescue videos on the internet. Despite the fact that animals are physically stronger than humans, there are still some situations and places in this world where the brutal creations lack the necessary power to get rid of them. And to get rid of it, they do need human help.
One such video that has surfaced on social media shows the rescue of a deer by a group of cyclists in Spain. This is an old video shared by Ismael Sirio Lopez Martin in September 2019, but is now going viral. “Thank God! These bikers helped save a majestic deer,” the post’s caption reads.
The incident took place on September 20, 2019 in Granada, Spain. The video was made by a member named Blas Rosa Romero of the same cycling club. Club Ciclista Huescar 1925 members were cycling in the municipality of Huescar, Granada, when they saw a deer stuck in the water.
The 62-second video clip shows the five bikes working together to grab the deer by the antlers. You can also see them dragging it up enough to get a hoof grip and pushing it out of the water after a big struggle. As soon as the deer comes out of the water, it stumbles to its feet and flees to the neighboring forest.
Since it was shared, the video has racked up millions of views and thousands of likes. Internet users have flooded the comment section of the post with plenty of heartfelt comments. They thanked the cyclist group for saving deer lives.
“Great rescue, thanks for stopping and rescuing the deer,” one user wrote.
Another said, “Bless you for saving one of God’s majestic creatures!”
According to local media sources, Granada is located in Spain’s southern region, which saw significant rainfall and deadly flooding earlier this month.
