An old video of a duck feeding fish from its own feeder is going viral again. Posted by Erik Solheim on Twitter, the 32 second clip is conquering hearts on the internet.
The undated video shows a duck standing on a crate filled with food over a body of water. The duck decided to take grains out of the container and dip them into the water for the fish to feed on. Soon a school of fish was spotted huddled together eating the granules.
The video’s caption reads, “In a world where you can be anything, be nice.”

The video has been viewed more than 2 million times on Twitter. The clip has garnered more than 2,500 likes and 398 retweets to date. Many users explained the behavior of the duck. One user wrote, “The reality is that all the ducks dip their food in water to eat, the fish try to steal the food.”
Another user wrote: “To eat/swallow the dry grain the duck needs water, when adding water it loses a lot of grain which the fish eat. It’s not the purpose to feed the fish.”
