Buying a ticket for a train journey is one of the most tedious tasks. People have to queue for hours to get to the counter, where there are frequent complaints against the person issuing the tickets. The railways tried to improve the situation by installing Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs) on several platforms.
A railroad worker has mastered the art of handing out tickets from these machines and his video is now going viral on social media.
The clip was posted on Twitter by users of the Mumbai Railway with the caption: “Somewhere in the Indian Railways this man is so fast giving tickets to 3 passengers in 15 seconds.”

The video shows the man withdrawing money from a passenger, as he inquires about the next passenger’s destination and simultaneously enters it into relevant fields of the ATVM. By the time a ticket comes out, it’s ready to enter another destination.
The man taps like a machine on the screen of ATVM and is ready in seconds.
Since the video was shared, it has more than 8.80,000 views. Twitter users were amazed at the speed with which the employee handed out tickets.
“Excellent accuracy achieved over time. Time saver,” said one user. “Our own flash,” added another.
Some users wondered if the video was sped up to make this railroad worker look like a superhuman.
“To all those with appreciative comments and funny jokes about Indian software… how did none of you realize the video was sped up?” asked one user.
“Software speed is also good, otherwise it has to wait for the next window to open,” said another.
