A few inspired himself by congress leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra to celebrate their wedding as a tribute to the diversity of India. Abhilasha Kotwal and Vinal William have mentioned their marriage “Bharat Jodo Vivah” and Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra invited in search of their blessings for their association.
Mrs. Kotwal, from Jammu and Bengal, and Mr. William, with roots in Punjab and Kerala, designed their wedding invitation to reflect their various heritage. The invitation proposes them as the “daughter of Jammu and Bengal” and the “son of Punjab and Kerala”, which strengthens the message of unity.
Mrs. Kotwal shared the wedding invitation on X and tagged the Gandhi brothers and sisters. “If your wedding is more diverse than a coalition government, you know it is really special! Mrs. Kotwal has handed her wedding invitation by hand to the Gandhi residence. The invitation package included the wedding card, chocolates and a mini copy of the Constitution of India.

What makes this invitation even more special is a special link to the Gandhi family. Years ago, Mrs. Kotwal's mother designed the wedding invitation of Priyanka Gandhi, she unveiled.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra, led by Rahul Gandhi, was an important political movement of the Indian National Congress (Inc) aimed at combating social division and arguing for unity. It started on September 7, 2022, in Kanyakumari and ended on January 30, 2023 in Jammu and Kashmir, with 4,080 km for 145 days.
The Yatra was launched as a reaction to what the Incentement Politics called, issues such as unemployment, economic inequality and rising intolerance tackling. Rahul Gandhi described it as a movement against fear, prejudices and hatred.
Thousands of participated, including activists, politicians and citizens. The Mars also coincided with important moments for the Inc, such as the election victory of Himachal Pradesh in 2022 and the election of a new party president.
