People often go out of their way to get the most bizarre photos online for likes and engagement. Now, one such video of a man posing as a beggar to see how much he could earn in a day is going viral on social media. The clip, shared on Instagram with the caption '24 hour begging challenge', shows Kolkata-based vlogger Pantha Deb dressed in ripped jeans and a T-shirt.
In the clip, the content creator first presents his idea to his followers. He then sits under a bridge with a bowl in his hand and asks passersby for money. The video shows him begging for alms on the streets of Calcutta and at a bus stop. You can also see how passers-by react when he begs.

At the end of the video, the content creator reveals that he collected just Rs 34 for the entire day. In a heartfelt gesture, he also donates the entire amount to an elderly homeless woman.
Mr. Deb shared the video a few days ago. It has since amassed over 7,300 likes and over 200,000 views.
The video sparked many reactions from social media users. While some criticized the man saying that people would do anything for the influence, others praised his gesture of donating the money raised.

It is notable that Pantha Deb has more than 2,500 followers on Instagram. According to his biography, he is a vlogger. He has shared more than 180 posts, in which he mainly plays pranks or experiments. Some time ago, he posted a video of himself trying to survive on the streets for 24 hours with just Rs 100.
