An advertising video for a school in Patiala in Punjab is going viral on social media due to its unique marketing strategy. The video, shared on Twitter by user Pulkit Kochar, shows three students in school uniforms standing back to back and lip syncing to a Punjabi rap listing the school’s facilities.
The song mentions that the school is a “aalishan building (luxury building)”, swimming pool, music lessons, computer lessons and other facilities. “I can’t get over the advertisement of this school. A normal day in Punjab,” Mr Kochar wrote in the caption of the post.

Mr Kochar shared the clip last month and since then it has garnered over 81,000 views and accumulated over 1,000 likes. Internet users were quick to post hilarious comments.
One user even suggested that Karan Johar should take some inspiration from this, while another said the video looks like a “pet project” from a teacher who actually wanted to be a music artist but decided against it due to parental pressure.

“Karan Johar should take inspiration from this for SOTY 3,” one user wrote. “Although I have completed my Masters, but I want to go to this school,” said another.
A third user commented, “Should I forget this… my entire childhood is now being challenged,” a fourth asked, “Are they introducing ‘social media influencers’ into the school curriculum?” “Only Punjabi music video where the demands are reasonable,” said another.
The school posted the video on its official social media account.
Speaking of school advertisements, earlier this year a Gujarat school came up with a unique advertisement to hire maths teachers. The intriguing ad showed how the organization turned it into the first tier of interviews for the applicants. They did this by hiding their phone number in a comparison. The interesting ad was so awesome that business magnate Harsh Goenka also shared the four-line poster on his Twitter account.
