A pride of 20 lions.
There are many strange things in wildlife that this civilization is unaware of. Sometimes the deep forests reveal natural phenomena that most of us cannot possibly imagine.
In South Africa’s MalaMala Game Reserve, a pride of 20 lions recently gathered to drink water from a small spring in the Sand River, making for quite an intriguing spectacle.
The perfect moment was shot and shared by Nadav Ossendryver, founder and CEO of LatestSightings.com.

“It was our last morning on safari here in the famous MalaMala Game Reserve. As fate had it, the morning started rather slowly. We were looking for the elusive leopard but had no luck,” Ossendryver said. .
“On our way back to camp, something unexpected happened! It all started with a family of elephants bathing in the Sand River. While this may be a normal occurrence on safari, we stopped to see the elephants playing . it was our last ride, we had to make the best of it.”
“And then, as if on script, movement in the background! At first two ears appeared behind the elephants. We knew right away it was a lion. That lion came down the ridge and started drinking right in front of us.”
“We looked up at the sandbar and suddenly another lion came out, and another, and another! This was the Kambula Lion Pride we had found. We began to hope that they would all come down to line up to drink, as lions do on rare occasions. Our prayers were answered!”
