Monsoon and swampy roads are a common occurrence around the world, often leading to the misery of pedestrians. We saw an example of this recently when people in Bangalore traveled in trackers and bulldozers to navigate the flooded city streets. Now a video has surfaced online showing a man helping pedestrians cross the flooded street with a wooden cart. However, the man does not do it for free and asks people for money to avoid the nuisance of heavy rain.
The video, shared Thursday by a user named BAlfonzo on the social media platform Reddit, shows a man wearing a blue t-shirt and bare feet collecting money from two pedestrians to help them cross the street during rain. The man puts the money in a bottle and then moves the wooden cart where two people were on board to the other side of the road.
The video shows people waiting their turn to cross the road from the man’s wooden cart, while he remains barefoot. The man then gets two more people on his wooden cart and helps them cross the street to the other side. The images show several cars crossing the road.
“To make money during discomfort,” reads the post’s caption.
Since it was shared, the video has been going viral on the internet like crazy. It has received more than 55,000 votes in just one day. More than 800 reddit users left heartfelt comments in the comment section of the post.
