The video of the Pakistani side dropping a catch during yesterday’s Asia Cup final, which has now gone viral, has inspired Delhi’s latest road safety police message.
Two Pakistani fielders collided trying to catch the ball from the Sri Lankan batter in their last ball of the innings, resulting in a six.

The video, which shows the players’ lack of coordination and alertness, was used by Delhi police to highlight the need to be alert when walking on the road.
“Ae Bhai, Zara Dekh Ke Chalo,” the Delhi Police tweet reads, referring to the popular song of yesteryear that played in the background of the match video. The song belonged to the Raj Kapoor starrer ‘Mera Naam Joker’ which was released in 1970.
Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by 23 runs yesterday to win the Asian Cup yesterday. While the Lankans scored a total of 170/6 first, the Pakistani side could only score 147 in 20 overs.
The missed opportunity came on the final ball of the latter of the Sri Lankan innings, when Pakistani Shadab Khan and Asif Ali collided deep in the middle when Bhanuka Rajapaksa tried to hit Mohammad Hasnain for a six. The missed flyout led to a six on the last ball.
