A video of a toilet where you can burn your poop to ash instead of flushing it is going viral on social media. An Instagram page called @vanwives shared the clip of the unique waterless toilet. It showed how the “eco-friendly” toilet burns the poop and turns it into no-smelling ash with just the push of a button.
“Can you imagine someone telling you that one day you can burn your poop, touch it and it won’t smell anymore? #future,” the post’s caption read.
Watch the video below:
At the beginning of the clip, a woman explains that her Cinderella incineration toilet turns poop into ashes. She then demonstrates how the unique technology works. All a person has to do is open the toilet seat, put a liner in it, and when they’re done with their needs, they can activate it just by pressing a button, she said.
The Instagram page shared the video just a few days ago and since then it has garnered over 267,000 likes and over 9 million views. The clip simply left internet users intrigued. While some asked what happens when someone has to pee, others joked and asked some other questions.

“Can you imagine having to explain to your guests every time why your house smells like burnt shit?” wrote one user jokingly. “I’d bet the energy it takes to burn it is much more and more contagious than the simple process of natural decomposition,” said another.
A third user commented, “What about the gases from all the combustion? Where do they go? Just curious,” while a fourth added, “This is actually a lot better. I hope all toilets are like this in the future. ”
Meanwhile, according to the website, the Cinderella Incineration Toilet incinerates waste by combining pressure from below with radiant heat. Fresh air is then introduced into the combustion chamber and the exhaust gases are filtered. Cinderella has toilet models for both gas and electricity and therefore offers an environmentally friendly waste disposal solution for on- and off-grid needs.
