Meanwhile, in another shocking incident, a 15-year-old girl in the United States survived a lightning strike that struck her home in Pennsylvania in May. Lightning went through Giana Scaramuzzo’s pinky finger and out of her left leg. The teen recovered from the incident and was treated by paramedics.
That same month, a lightning strike also destroyed a single toilet in an Oklahoma apartment building. According to news weekexperts say that about 10% of people struck by lightning die, usually as a result of a heart attack.
