Malappuram:
A grade 6 student in Kerala’s Malappuram has emerged as the latest social media sensation for a goal he scored with a heel in a football game. Anshid, a student of Al Anwar UP School in Areekode Kuni, and his stunning hind leg goal are both trending on social media. The student scored the goal in an Under-12 tournament in Chembrassery, Pandikkad.
A cross from the left wing was met by Anshid who jumped and found the back of the net with a breathtaking heel-back shot, feet in the air.
His coach, Imdad Kottaparamban, shot video of the ball screaming past the keeper and bulging into the net.
The music video eventually made it to the Indian Super League’s official webpage, after the coach posted it on social media.
The coach shared the video on Instagram and Facebook with the caption: “The keeper didn’t see that coming.”
The video went viral within seconds of being uploaded on social media. Ministers V Sivankutty and Ahmed Devarkov also posted the video on their official Facebook pages.
The clip has registered two-and-a-half lakh views on Instagram alone so far. The post was flooded with praise for the up-and-coming soccer star.
On the clip of his amazing leg work that made it to the ISL webpage, a shy Anshid said he wants to become an even better professional level player in the future.
