The video was shared on Twitter on Wednesday by an Indian Forest Service (IFS) agent, Ramesh Pandey.
While sharing the post, Mr Pandey wrote: “Tigers are really thrifty about killing their prey. They don’t kill just for the sake of killing.”
You can see the deer sneaking away from the scene as it first stares at the tiger for a while as it continues to walk along the side of the road.
Since the post was shared, it has amassed over 1.4 lakh views and over 2,800 likes. The post has received hundreds of retweets to date, and a significant number of people have left comments in the post’s comment box to express their reactions and opinions. Several users thanked the officer for sharing this video, while others loved the post.
