A wild video circulating the internet shows the moment a black bear was caught breaking into and completely wrecking a car.
An American man got the surprise of his life after he noticed that his mother-in-law’s car lights came on while she was in bed. When he went out to check, he discovered that the intruder was not your average prowler, but a hungry black bear trapped in the hut, looking for food.

Speak with NBC NewsCody Gillotti said he was lying on the couch when he saw the lights come on in his mother-in-law’s car. It was then that he realized that something strange was going on. He went to the car and saw the lights come on and also saw a line of ice on the windows.
“It looked like a teenager passed out in his car after a long night of partying and his mom caught him,” said Cody Gillotti, who described the bear as “stunned.”

The Connecticut man revealed that the animal raced through his truck before heading to his mother-in-law’s vehicle. Mr Gillotti told media that the bear probably opened his truck, but as there was no food, he moved things around and even took his daughter’s car seat out of his truck before getting on the mother-in-law’s car.
Mr Gillotti described the incident as “very, very funny”. However, he added that it was hilarious until the bear “started to panic” and rock the car back and forth. The man then called the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, or DEEP, who then let the bear flee by opening the car door with a rope and firing a bullet with a bean bag pistol.

“It was really really scared when we got close to it. It was almost like a deer in headlights, it was stunned,” said Mr Gillotti. He also said the bear’s eyes didn’t actually move, but stayed on him and the officer as they tried to get out of the truck.
In the end, the bear ran away, but he left quite a bit of damage. According to NBC NewsGillotti admitted that after assessing the damage in his own vehicle, he discovered that his daughter may have left a cookie and that it could therefore be in the truck. No one was injured in the incident and Mr Gillotti said he has no doubt the bear will come around again soon.
