A video is circulating on the internet showing a golfer taking his shot as an alligator approaches from behind.
The video was shared on June 27 by a woman named Melissa Walsh on Facebook. She shared the post she wrote: “The man on the golf course. Naples, Florida. Michael West.”
In the now viral video, the man identified as Michael West is seen taking a golf shot as an alligator slowly approaches him. But the man seems calm and fully focused on his shot. The video was made by his wife.

The 14-second clip shocked social media users and gained hundreds of likes.
“Not all alligators are nasty gators. Look at him waiting for your man to finish it. Thanks for posting this so people can see that we can live in peace with these amazing beasts that deserve our respect,” wrote one user in the comment section.
“I love how the alligator pops down after the dude waves,” said another.
Several videos of alligators have recently gone viral on social media. One of those clips showed the mayor of a small town in Mexico marrying an alligator in a colorful ceremony with traditional music and dancing attendees.

In the viral video, the mayor of the city of San Pedro Huamelula, Victor Hugo Sosa, was even seen bending over to plant his lips on the small alligator’s snout, which was believed to have been tied up to prevent unwanted biting.
Ritual marriage, as a prayer invoking nature’s bounty, is believed to date back centuries to pre-Hispanic times among the Chontal and Huave indigenous peoples of the state of Oaxaca.
