Our planet continues to amaze us. It’s filled with some fascinating things that have already been explored, and some that are yet to be discovered. Now a video showing such a spectacular natural phenomenon is going viral on the internet.
The short clip, posted to Twitter by a user named Fascinating, showed a starfish crawling up against a glass. The video shows that the sea creature has several short legs that allow it to move smoothly over the surface. These little legs move in one movement and almost look like little dots under the animal.
“Take a good look at how starfish walk,” the post’s caption read.

Starfish are marine invertebrates closely related to sea urchins and sand dollars. Despite the fact that starfish are among the most ubiquitous marine animals, little is known about their mobility. So naturally, when a video showing a starfish walking surfaced on social media, it left internet users baffled.
The clip was shared on Twitter on Monday and has since garnered a whopping 8.6 million views and more than 158,000 likes. In the comments section, some internet users called the video great, while others called it “bizarre but beautiful”.

“That’s amazing, yet somewhat terrifying. I want to somehow incorporate this into character design,” one user wrote. “I absolutely hate this but can’t stop looking at it… it looks so weird,” said another.
“The design is very bizarre, but so beautiful in submarine technology,” a third commented. “Fascinating, no doubt, but I don’t want to see this again,” said the fourth.
Meanwhile, speaking of fascinating creatures, previously a video showing a rare species of glass octopus floating in the sea had taken the internet by storm. The video was posted by ‘The Oxygen Project’ and shows a sea creature living deep in the vast ocean. The video has been viewed more than 20,000 times and received hundreds of likes.
