Bhopal:
Eleven workers were killed late Thursday night after a bus collided with an SUV in Betul, Madhya Pradesh, police said.
According to police, the 11 workers were on their way back from Amravati in Maharashtra when the accident happened around 2 a.m. near the Jhallar Police Station between Gudgaon and Bhaisdehi. The driver of the SUV fell asleep before hitting a bus.
Seven bodies were immediately removed, but the vehicle had to be cut out to get the remaining bodies out, Betul senior police officer Simala Prasad said.
Further investigations are underway.
