Two men were arrested on Sunday in connection with the violence that broke out here in November last year about the overview of a mosque from the Mughal era ordered by the court, killing four people.
According to the police, Mohammad Hasan and Samad were arrested in the police station of Nakhasa.
During the interrogation, the suspect admitted that they were part of the crowd that gathered near the mosque on November 24 to resist the survey, they said.
The police said that the two accused them inquired that they reached Anjuman Chauraha when they heard the incident, where a large crowd had gathered and the crowd turned on.
Then the crowd marched to Hindupura Khera Nakhasa Tiraha, where they reportedly shot on police staff, pelted stones and set fire to a police vehicle with the intention of killing, the police said in a press release.
On November 19, the local court approved an ex-parte order for an overview of the mosque by a lawyer commissioner after he had taken note of a plea of the Hindu side that claimed that the mosque was being built by Mughal-Keizer Babur in 1526 after The demolition of a temple.
On November 24, during a second round of the survey, protest against the local population collided with security staff, which led to great violence that led to the death of four people and injuries to dozens.
