Three employees of a CNG pump in Sector-31 here were killed by some people early Monday, police said.
The incident took place around 2:40 am and they were attacked with live weapons. The deceased are Bhupendra, Pushpendra and Naresh, all residents of Uttar Pradesh, they said.
Police said a search has been launched to arrest the miscreants.
The bodies have been sent for autopsy and CCTV camera images are being examined, they said.
Police suspect theft is the motive behind the crime. However, other angles are also being explored. An FIR has yet to be registered in the case.
Two bodies were found in the pump manager’s room, while the third was found outside.
“I was woken up in the early hours by a phone call. I reached the CNG pump and found my brother, Bhupendra, dead. My brother was a pump operator here,” Dharmendra told PTI.
He added that it is not clear who killed his brother.
A forensic lab team and dog brigade are also on the scene along with police personnel. Police Commissioner Kala Ramachandran also visited the scene of the incident.
