Three members of a family were injured after arguing with a neighbor over their dog’s roaming in the Dabri area of southwestern Delhi, police said on Tuesday.
On Sunday, an incident of arguing between two families over a dog roaming the street was reported at Dabri’s police station.
Three people Vinod Kumar, his wife and daughter were injured in the incident, Deputy Police Commissioner (Dwarka) M Harsha Vardhan said.
According to police, Jitender Pandey was drunk and Mr. Kumar was walking his dog nearby. Mr. Pandey tried to hit the dog that would bite him. Later, Mr. Pandey called some persons from his home and they attacked the victims.
Strict legal action has been taken in the case, they said.
According to Mr Kumar’s statement, a case has been registered against his neighbor Mr Pandey and his family for allegedly beating the complainant and his family with bamboo sticks and iron bars, the DCP said.
Two accused Naveen and Sanoj Kumar, Mr Pandey’s relatives, were arrested. Other suspects are missing and investigations are ongoing, police said.
