Five people were arrested Monday in separate cases in the Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan for allegedly distributing the video of the tailor’s murder in Udaipur and posting photos and videos of weapons on social media, police said.

Sirajuddin Hussain, 36, was arrested in the city of Hanumangarh for distributing the video of the Udaipur murder, Police Superintendent (SP) Ajay Singh said.
Tarsem Puri was arrested by the staff of the Sangaria Police Station, Rajkumar Jat and Mohammad Shakur by the staff of the Sadar Police Station and Pavan Kumar by the staff of the Nohar Police Station for uploading photos and videos with weapons on social media with intent to sow terror among people, according to the SP. †
A tailor, Kanhaiya Lal, was hacked to death by two men, Riaz Akhtari and Gos Mohammad, with a cleaver at his shop in the Dhan Mandi area of Udaipur to avenge an “insult to Islam”.
The video of the brutal murder was posted online.
Four people, including Akhtari and Mohammad, have been arrested in connection with the murder of Kanhaiya Lal. They are detained at the National Criminal Investigation Department.
