Bombay:
At least four people were injured in a multi-vehicle pile-up on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway on Thursday, officials said.
In the accident, which took place near Khopoli in Maharashtra, about seven to eight cars collided. Videos from the scene show the mutilated and destroyed cars on the road with the injured in an ambulance.
No casualty has yet been reported. None of the injured suffered serious injuries.
The cause of the crash has yet to be determined.
Earlier this month, four people were killed after their car hit a stationary truck on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
“At first glance, it appears that the car was speeding. It first hit a fence and then hit a stationary truck on the side of the road. Four occupants of the car were killed,” a senior police officer had said.
