Bombay:
Bollywood star Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan have received a threatening letter and an investigation has been launched, Mumbai police said on Sunday.
The move takes on significance as it comes days after Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was allegedly shot dead by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who had threatened Salman Khan in 2018.
Lawrence Bishnoi’s death threat against Salman Khan was linked to the 1998 black buck poaching case, in which Salman Khan was one of the accused.
Lawrence Bishnoi is detained in Tihar Prison in Delhi and questioned by the police about the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala.
Sidhu Moose Wala was shot and killed by a group of attackers in the village of Jawahar Ke on Sunday, a day after his security was lowered by the Punjab government. His body had 19 gunshot wounds and he died within 15 minutes of being shot, according to the autopsy report.
