New Delhi:
At least 250 people have been arrested in Uttar Pradesh over the ‘Agnipath’ protests, in which hordes of angry youths carried bamboo sticks and stones, stormed railway yards through towns and small towns and laid siege to highways.
Meanwhile, protests against ‘Agnipath’ Bihar caught fire on Friday as frenzied crowds set fire to dozens of rail cars, locomotives and stations and set fire to BJP offices, vehicles and other property, prompting police to shut down internet services in nearly a third of the state.
