Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will pay a two-day visit to Gujarat polling station starting today.
Mr Kejriwal will be joined by Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who is facing an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) over the AAP government’s past excise tax policies.
The AAP leaders will reach Ahmedabad on Monday and address a meeting of the town hall in Himmatnagar. They will also attend a town hall meeting in Bhavnagar on Tuesday.
“On Monday Manish ji and I will go to Gujarat for two days to ensure education and health. Like Delhi, Gujarat will also have good schools, good hospitals and Mohalla clinics. Everyone will get free and good education and good treatment. be relieved, we will also interact with the youth,” Kejriwal said in a tweet.
Mr Kejriwal’s statement came a day after the CBI searched Mr Sisodia’s home and raided several places over alleged corruption in the implementation of Delhi’s excise policy.
On a previous visit to Northern Gujarat, Mr. Kejriwal made a number of promises to the people of the state, ranging from providing free electricity to improving health care.
