Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said India’s belief in dialogue and democratic principles as the ‘mother of democracy’ has been steadfast since time immemorial.

“As the ‘Mother of Democracy’, our belief in dialogue and democratic principles has been steadfast since time immemorial. Our global behavior is rooted in the fundamental principle of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, which means ‘the world is one family’,” Prime Minister Modi said. said.
He said that it is this very idea of seeing the world as one family that also connects every Indian to the sense of responsibility of ‘One Earth’.
“It is with this spirit of ‘One Earth’ that India has initiated the ‘Lifestyle for Environment Mission’. With India’s initiative and your support, the entire world is celebrating the ‘International Year of Millets’ this year, in line with the principles of climate security “In line with this spirit, India launched the ‘Green Grids Initiative – One Sun, One World, One Grid’, at COP-26,” he added.
The Prime Minister emphasized that India is one of the countries where a large-scale solar energy revolution is underway.
“Today, India is among the countries experiencing a large-scale solar revolution. Millions of Indian farmers have embraced natural farming. This is a major campaign to protect human health and the health of the soil and the earth. also launched the ‘National Green Hydrogen Mission’ in India to boost green hydrogen production. During the Indian Presidency of the G-20, we have also taken significant steps towards creating a global hydrogen ecosystem,” he said.
“Taking into account the challenge of climate change, energy transition is an important need of the 21st century world. Trillions of dollars are needed for an inclusive energy transition. Obviously, developed countries play a very crucial role in this,” Prime Minister Modi added. .
The two-day grand summit began in Delhi on Saturday at Bharat Mandapam, where leaders from across the world gathered under one roof to attend the G20 meeting.
The summit, which is being organized under India’s chairmanship of the G20, has seen extensive preparations and arrangements made to showcase not only the country’s soft power but also its emergence as a prominent global player.
Founded in 1999, the G20 aimed to maintain global financial stability by including middle-income countries.
India assumed the presidency of the G20 on December 1 last year and around 200 meetings related to the G20 were organized in 60 cities across the country. The 18th G20 Summit in New Delhi will be the culmination of all G20 processes and meetings taking place throughout the year among ministers, senior officials and civil society organizations.
