Social media users claimed that the flag in the alleged photo belongs to the Zomi Revolutionary Army (ZRA), which is active in Manipur. AI-generated images and large disinformation content on Manipur have also been a huge problem, even what leads to incidents on site.
The ZRA comes under the umbrella body of eight rebellious groups represented by the United Peoples Front (UPF) for negotiations with the center.
The UPF, and another umbrella body of 17 rebellious groups represented by the Kuki National Organization (ENT), signed the suspension of Operations (SOO) agreement with the center and the state government.
Broadly speaking, the SOO agreement says that the insurgents must stay in designated camps and that their weapons are kept in locked storage to be regularly checked.
However, they are confronted with accusations of violating the basic rules of the SOO agreement by participating in the ethnic violence of Manipur between the Meitei community and the Kuki tribes.
The United National Liberation Front (Pambei), or Unlf (P), the only Meitei -Op standing group that has signed the -Fires, is also confronted with accusations of participation in the ethnic collisions in violation of the Stakes -the Fires.
The Indian army has operational control over the Assam rifles, while the Ministry of the Interior has administrative control. The Assam Rifles monitors the border with Myanmar and also performs counter -rise operations, together with the Manipur police.
