New Delhi:
An Indian civil servant who was stationed in Arunachal Pradesh was given a warm farewell in the form of a folk dance. A video tweeted by Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju shows IAS officer Devansh Yadav dancing with locals as his post in the border state comes to an end.
Mr Yadav’s next post is in another border area – Jammu and Kashmir.
In visuals, the young IAS officer, cane in hand, is seen dancing with locals in a grassroots movement.
“From Arunachal Pradesh to Jammu and Kashmir. The young and dedicated IAS officer Devansh Yadav is leaving Arunachal Pradesh for transfer to J&K, but the local people will cherish forever the valuable services he rendered to the people as Deputy Commissioner,” tweeted Mr. Rijiju.
The IAS officer tweeted, “Receiving blessings from elders before leaving this beautiful place.”

Mr Yadav also holds an MBBS degree from the All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi.
The description on his personal website says it’s a “young bureaucrat’s perspective on global and national events.” It contains photos and reports about his work and that of the government in Arunachal Pradesh.
The last post dated April 12 is titled “Kengkhu: A Basti Model for Drug Deaddiction.”
“At the current ongoing death camp, 17 remaining youth have been treated with opium addiction and will soon be released to lead normal lives. They will work in cluster farming using the latest agricultural technologies… Amid all the gloom of COVID-19 and countless failed initiatives to combat the drug threat, Kengkhu Basti Model is a ray of hope to turn Arunachal into a drug-addicted society,” Yadav writes in his blog.
