The Border Security Force shot down a drone entering Punjab’s Amritsar district from Pakistan, officials said today.
The troops fired on the drone after noticing it had crept into Indian territory near the village of Daoke, 34 km southwest of the city of Amritsar, on Friday evening, the Border Security Force said.
During the search, the BSF recovered a Quadcopter DJI Matrice 300 RTK (Chinese drone) in a partially damaged condition, according to officials.
A quadcopter is an unmanned aerial vehicle with four rotors.
