New Delhi:
A child of 18 months died after being run over on Saturday by a car that was driven by a teenage boy in the Alipur area of Outer North Delhi, a civil servant said.
The 15-year-old boy and his brother, the owner of the vehicle, were arrested, they said.
According to the police, the police received information at 8.20 am that a child was hit by a car on Firni Road in Mukhmelpur.
The offensive vehicle was found on the site of the accident and the child, Arjun, was brought by his uncle to Satyawadi Raja Harish Chandra (SRHC) hospital in Narela in Narela, an official said.
The doctor confirmed that the child had been died and had recorded the cause of death as a casual head injury, he said.
The body is stored in the Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial (BJRM) hospital in Jahangirpuri. The younger and his brother have been arrested and the further probe is underway, the police said.
