New Delhi:
The Congress task force for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, led by new party leader Mallikarjun Kharge, will meet for the first time on Monday.
This is the Task Force’s first meeting after Kharge took over as president of Congress. Members of the Election Strategy Group will brief the new president on the task force’s work and its plan for the 2024 elections.
Task force members include P Chidambaram, Mukul Wasnik, Jairam Ramesh, KC Venugopal, Ajay Maken, Randeep Surjewala, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Sunil Kanugolu.
The big old party had announced an “Empowered Action Group” to address “political challenges” ahead of the 2024 national elections in April just before the grand three-day conclave in Udaipur in Rajasthan.
Former party chairman Sonia Gandhi had formed the task force for 2024 following a report by an eight-member committee.
