COVID-19 cases in India: Weekly positivity rate was 0.39 percent.
New Delhi:
India reported a total of 1,581 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours on Tuesday, bringing the number of COVID-19 to 4,30,10,922. According to data from the Union Ministry of Health, active cases have fallen further today to 23,913.
The active cases comprise 0.06 percent of the total number of infections. The national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.74 percent, it turned out.
A reduction of 2,741 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a 24-hour timeframe. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.28 percent, while the weekly positivity rate stood at 0.39 percent, the ministry said.
