Coronavirus LIVE updates: India reports 2,124 new COVID-19 cases, 17 deaths in 24 hours

India Covid updates: The country also saw 17 deaths from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours.

New Delhi:

India reported at least 2,124 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases to 4,31,42,192, while the number of active cases rose to 14,971, the Union health ministry said.

The number of Covid-related deaths reached 5,24,507 and a further 17 people died as a result of the virus, data showed yesterday.

Active cases comprise 0.03 percent of the total number of infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.75 percent, the ministry said.
