New Delhi:
India reported 975 new cases of Covid in the past 24 hours with a daily positivity of 0.32 percent, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Saturday. The weekly positivity rate is 0.26 percent.
The active caseload in the country stands at 11,366, which is 0.03 percent of the total number of cases, the health bulletin showed.
As many as 796 Covid patients recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cures since the start of the pandemic in the country to 4,25,07,834.
The recovery rate is currently 98.76 percent.
Four patients died during this period. This has brought the death toll in the country to 5,21,747.
In the past 24 hours, 6,89,724 doses of Covid vaccine have been administered, increasing the total number of vaccines administered in the country by 1,86.38.31,723.

Delhi today reported a COVID-19 positivity rate of 5.33 percent, up 26 percent since yesterday. The positivity rate is the number of cases detected per 100 tests.
The national capital also reported 461 new cases today, a 26 percent increase since yesterday. Two people have died from Covid in the past 24 hours, government data shows.
Rising cases have raised concerns about schoolchildren. Experts have also called for the vaccination of children under 12 with comorbidities.
