India Covid cases: Daily COVID-19 cases have remained less than one lakh for 22 consecutive days.

India reported at least 8,013 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday – 22 percent lower than yesterday’s daily peak of more than 10,000 cases. According to the Union Ministry of Health, the total number of COVID-19 cases in India has risen to 4,29,24,130.
The death toll has risen to 5,13843 with 119 new fatalities, data updated Monday showed. Kerala added 46 dead as backlog.
Daily COVID-19 cases have remained less than one lakh for 22 consecutive days.
Active cases, which make up 0.24 percent of total infections, fell to 1,02,601, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has marginally improved to 98.56 percent, the ministry said.
