New Delhi:
A man reportedly killed by two arrested terror suspects in Delhi has also been beheaded, police sources have told DailyExpertNews. The victim’s identity has yet to be determined. Police recovered several body parts, including his hand, which had a Trushul tattoo. The man, aged around 21, was apparently a drug addict whom the two had befriended, sources said.
According to police sources, Naushad was tasked with killing influential Hindus by his handler Sohail, a Pakistan-based operative of the Harkat-ul Ansar terror group.
His accomplice, Jagjit Singh, was asked to propagate the activities of the separatist Sikh group Khalistan in India, sources said. Jagjit Singh is said to have been in contact with Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Dalla, who is currently in Canada.
According to sources, the arrested men confessed to taking the man to Naushad’s house in Bhalswa Dairy in northeast Delhi on December 14 and 15 and strangling him. His body was decapitated and chopped into eight pieces. A 37-second video of the procedure was sent to Sohail, sources said.
The police, who found traces of human blood in the house in Bhalswa, are also trying to determine if the two committed any other target killings.
They are also investigating the connection between Khalistani terrorists and Pakistani intelligence. The men had rented the Bhalswa house together around Diwali and both were charged with the murder.
Naushad was in jail on murder and extortion charges and had met Sohail there. In prison he also met Arif Mohammad, a suspect in the attack on the Red Fort.
Sohail went to Pakistan and after he was released from prison in April 2022, Naushad contacted him, sources said.
