Muzaffarnagar:
A small farmer with 15 Bighas of Agriculture Land, Kulbir Singh paid RS 40 Lakh to agents to send his son to the US. Two months later, Devindra Singh was sent back to India in buoys – one of the 104 Indian illegal immigrants deported by the Trump government.
From the Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh, Devindra Singh was caught shortly after he entered the US illegally and remained in detention in a detention camp until his deportation.
The 38 -year -old was one of the three men from Uttar Pradesh who took the treacherous “Dunki” route to enter the US illegally in search of a better life for themselves and their families at home.
On Wednesday the trio arrived in Amritsar in an American military plane, reportedly in buoys, after he was deported.
Being popular in common language after the release of Shah Rukh Khan's “Dunki” in 2023, “Dunki” refers to illegal immigration where boundaries are transferred by secret stops in several countries, usually facilitated by agents.
Rakshit Baliyan (19) by Rasulpur Jatan Village and Devindra Singh of the village of Marakpur in the Muzzffarnagar district and Gurpreet Singh (24) from the Pilibhit district were among the 104 Indians deported by the Donald Trump government as part of a performance against illegal immigrants.
Rakshit Baliyan's father Sudhir Baliyan, a retired armyjawan, said PTI that his son went to the US seven months ago and worked in a private company.
Sudhir Baliyan, who owns 20 Bighas of Agriculture Land, said his son would continue his education.
“My son has passed his class 12 exam. He will continue his education because he is interested in following a Btech degree,” he said.
As soon as Rakshit Baliyan arrived in India, his father sent him to Meerut to resume his studies.
The other resident of Muzaffarnagar – Devindra Singh – is now back in his ancestral village and reverses his wife Harshjit Kaur and their sons Anshdeep and Vanshdeep.
“He went to the US to earn for the family, but now all our money has disappeared,” said his father Kulbir Singh.
The local authorities have not commented on the circumstances of the deportations and the families also keep Mama.
Gurpreet Singh, a resident of the village of Banjaria in Pilibhit, reached the US about 22 days ago from the UK, told his mother Jaswinder Kaur to reporters.
He went to the UK about two years ago.
He informed the family 22 days ago that he had entered the US illegally, she said.
However, the family then lost all contact with him.
Gurpreet Singh is the youngest of three brothers, with one brother or sister Gurjeet Singh in the Indian army.
On Thursday, the police of Delhi Gurpreet Singh will hand over to the counterparts of Uttar Pradesh, village head of Gurdev Singh told reporters.
However, Puranpur Kotwali Police Inspector (Crime) Gajendra Singh said that they had not received official communication on the issue.
