Delegates of countries contributing troops to the UN peacekeeping missions around the world will meet in Delhi for an important conclave to be hosted by India from October 14 to 16, officials said on Sunday (October 12, 2025).
The United Nations Chiefs Conclave (UNTCC) will be attended by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Under Secretary General for Peacekeeping Operations (USG, DPO) Jean Pierre Lacroix, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The UNTCC serves as a vital forum for addressing operational challenges, evolving threats, interoperability, inclusivity in decision-making, and the role of technology and training in strengthening UN peacekeeping.
“As one of the largest contributors to UN missions, India convenes this high-level forum to deliberate on operational challenges, evolving threats, sharing best practices and building shared understanding on future peacekeeping,” the report said.
Delegations from countries contributing troops to UN peacekeeping missions around the world are expected to arrive here on October 13, the report said.
The Indian Army will host the conclave from October 14 to 16, bringing together senior military leaders from 32 countries that play a crucial role in UN peacekeeping operations, the statement said.
The conclave reflects the ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family), the officials said.
In the plenary sessions, heads and heads of delegation will present their views. The conclave will also see defense exhibitions for shared capacity building, bilateral meetings and cultural exchanges, they said.
The conclave will witness participation from Algeria, Armenia, Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brazil, Burundi, Cambodia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Fiji, France, Ghana, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Poland, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Senegal, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, Uruguay and Vietnam, the statement said.
“The event will be a testament to India's unwavering commitment to global peace, stability and shared prosperity,” the report said.
