A truck driver from Indian who was accused of making an illegal U-turn in which three people were killed in Florida last week was refused on Saturday (August 23, 2025).
The crash led to a collision between the US Department of the Interior Security and California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom about Harjinder Singh who received a work permit and driver's license in the state. The Trump government says that Mr. Singh was illegal in the US.

Mr. Singh was accused of three state statements of murder of vehicles and immigration violations, and the bond was refused for all charges. He is held in the St. Lucie County Jail, Lieutenant Andrew Bolonka of the Sheriff's Office by St. Lucie County. The enforcement of American immigration and customs has grabbed him.
Spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin of Homeland Security said that it illegally is a commercial license for someone in the country the performance of someone in the country. California is one of the 19 states, in addition to the district of Columbia, which issue licenses, regardless of immigration status. Proponents say that people can work, visit doctors and travel safely.
Mr. Newsom's press office responded to platform X that Mr Singh received a work permit, while Donald Trump was president who disputed McLaughlin.
The Florida authorities said that Singh entered the US illegally in 2018 from Mexico.
The Republican government Ron Desantis of Florida sent Lt. Gov. Jay Collins to California to accompany Mr Singh to a plane on Thursday (August 28, 2025).
Mr. Singh made the illegal bend on the highway about 50 miles (80 kilometers) north of West Palm Beach, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. A minibus in the neighboring lane could not avoid the trailer of the truck and hit it, killing the driver of the minibus and two passengers.
Mr. Singh and a passenger in his truck were not injured.
