Police have arrested three minors for allegedly harassing an interfaith couple on a busy road in Hyderabad.

A couple traveling on a two-wheeler was stopped by three minors who allegedly abused the youngster while he was riding the bike, presumably because he took a girl from another community on his bike, police said Tuesday.
The video of the alleged “moral oversight” of the incident, which took place on August 26, went viral on social media.
The trio, who are minors, were subsequently arrested after a case was booked on Monday. A police official said adding the couple in the video had not been identified.
The trio, police said, stopped the couple while riding a two-wheeler and after learning that the youth riding the bike belonged to another community, they began abusing him by asking: “Why did he take the girl who belonged to another community?” intercourse with him?” In the video, one of the trio can be heard asking the motorcyclist: what is her name (the passenger) and where did he take her, while the motorcyclist asks him: “What was his problem?” Then he begins the after the biker is told that “she’s my girlfriend”, the trio ask her to get off the bike.
However, the trio later left the scene, but one of the three filmed the incident and then posted it on social media, police said.
Based on the video, the police took up a case against the trio on their own at Jubilee Hills Police Station and detained them. Because they are minors, their parents also received a notice, the official said.
Further investigation was underway.
