The South Central Railway (SCR) team of the Vijayawada Division won the first prize at the All India Hindi Drama competitions, held in Bhusawal for their performance in 'Kapiraj', a play based on the Ramayana story of 'Bali and Suikeva'. The piece performed by a 15-person team, investigated the themes of loyalty, betrayal, destination and justice.
Central Railway General Manager Darmaveer Meena presented the prize to the winning team.
Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager Narendra A. Patil, in a statement on Monday, congratulated the artists and said: “This is the third consecutive year that the division has won the highest honor in the competition at national level.”
Moreover, the team also won various individual categories, including Best Director, Lighting, Stage Setup, Music and Sound Effects
