“There is anger in our hearts after this murder. This incident within months of the murder of Harsha (Bajarang Dal activists) in Shivamogga has hurt me,” said Mr Bommai.
“My reign is completing a year and it is three years of BJP rule after coming to power under BS Yediyurappa. We planned for Janotsava, but after looking at the pain of the victim’s mother and family, I have decided to cancel tomorrow’s events.” Mr Bommai added.

A resident of Nettaru in Bellare, Dakshina Kannada district, was killed on his way home after closing his shop.
There was tension in several places in the Dakshina Kannada district after the murder on Wednesday.
The supporters of the BJP and Sangh Parivar had turned their fears against the state government, accusing it of failing to protect the lives of Hindu workers.

“The end time has come for these evil forces and action will be taken against them, and the results will appear before the people very soon,” he added.
