Bhopal:
Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced on Friday that all COVID-19 restrictions, excluding curfews, were being lifted across the state due to the drop in cases.
On Twitter, he said: “Taking into account the continued decline in the cumulative positivity rate and the active cases of COVID-19, all restrictions imposed have been relaxed. All social, commercial, cultural, political, religious, entertainment and sports activities and scholarships in MP will be held at full capacity.”
The CM said schools, colleges and hostels can operate at full capacity, while removing attendance limits for weddings and funerals.
As the pandemic has not yet completely ended, the curfew will remain in place between 11pm and 5am, he said, asking people to wear masks and adhere to appropriate Covid behavior.
As on Friday, MP’s caseload was 10,21,361, with a positivity rate of 3.4 percent, down from 3.67 percent a day earlier.
