Bombay:
A total of 18 MLAs were sworn in as ministers today in a grand ceremony in Mumbai as the much anticipated cabinet expansion took place. The list includes 9 MLAs, each from the BJP and Shiv Sena faction led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
This expansion comes more than a month after an uprising by the Sena faction led by Mr Shinde toppled the Uddhav Thackeray-led government.
Chief Minister Shinde met MLAs from his camp this morning ahead of the ceremony. The decision was made after several meetings between Mr Shinde and the BJP leadership.
