A video shared on The alarming footage has raised serious concerns among commuters about safety on the highway, which is already under scrutiny due to a history of frequent accidents.
Dashcam footage captured the disturbing incident and highlighted how it could have easily led to a fatal accident. Sharing the clip, Mr Darshan wrote: “A warning to travelers on Mysuru-Bengaluru Expressway: Attempted car overturn near Kengeri (Jan 20, 6:42 pm). A miscreant was seen holding a tree trunk and placing it on the nearest lane. near the partition, apparently to cause an accident and steal valuables. Video below.

Mr Darshan tagged the Bengaluru Police in his post, which was acknowledged by the authorities. The police wrote on X: “Provide the exact location of the incident and send your contact number in a DM.” Mr Darshan also demanded immediate action in the matter.
Commenting on the video, a user wrote, “Damn… That's so dangerous and scary that these things happen… Endangering the lives of others by taking some valuables, that too around 6:40 PM” in the evening.”
Another user commented: “Just a suggestion. On highways, drive in the center lane. Use your right lane only for overtaking and then return to the center lane. At night, it's even more dangerous to drive in the right lane .”
“Wow. How fearless these people are. It's like evening and not far from the city limits. Imagine what they can do at night. This highway has become the worst in many ways. There are no exit controls, no patrols… nothing except the exorbitant tolls. Who takes the credits now,” wrote the third user on X.
